Towers, Dubai Silicon Oasis, we provide a reliable link between international refineries and the regions growing energy needs.


We currently supply Liberia, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Mali and Burkina Faso with gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and other refined products sourced from recognized refineries worldwide. Our broader strategic objective encompasses all of West Africa, and we are actively expanding our presence to serve additional markets across the region.

Gibril MK Sillah

Founder & Chief Executive Officer | SABI Commodities

Gibril MK Sillah is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SABI Commodities, with close to two decades of academic, commercial and entrepreneurial experience spanning the United Kingdom, West Africa and the Middle East.

He holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Middlesex University, completed between 2006 and 2009, and subsequently obtained an MBA in Marketing from the London School of Business and Finance in 2012. His academic background in finance and marketing has provided a strong foundation for his career in international commodities trading, business development and commercial management.

From 2013 to 2016, Gibril worked with Burcia International, an agricultural commodities trading company based in Côte d’Ivoire, where he progressed from Manager to Director of Operations. During this period, he gained extensive experience in the sourcing, trading and movement of agricultural commodities, including cocoa, natural rubber, cashew nuts and palm oil, as well as the management of cross-border supply chains and trading operations.

In 2016, he founded SABI Commodities in The Gambia, establishing the business with a focus on the trading and supply of petroleum products within the Gambian market. Building on this experience and the company’s growing regional relationships, he subsequently founded SABI Commodities in Dubai in 2020, positioning the UAE operation as the company’s international petroleum trading and regional supply platform.

Under Gibril’s leadership, SABI Commodities has expanded its petroleum-product trading and supply activities across several West African markets, including Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Mali and Burkina Faso. As CEO, he is responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction, development of supplier and offtaker relationships, transaction structuring, regional market development and oversight of its cross-border commodity trading activities.

Gibril brings together expertise in financial management, commodities trading, operational leadership, international business development and regional supply-chain management, with practical experience across both agricultural and petroleum commodity markets.

THE PROCESS

Demand & Supply

The process begins with a client request specifying the product type, volume and delivery schedule. Our trading desk identifies the optimal supply sources, conducts compliance and sanctions screening, and prepares a competitive offer. Once agreed, we execute formal contracts with clearly defined Incoterms and payment milestones.

Logistics & Delivery

Once the contract is signed, our operations team coordinates vessel nomination, loading inspections and shipping documentation. We manage transit tracking, port clearance and discharge supervision. After delivery, we provide quality certificates, reconciliation reports and dedicated after-sales support to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
